I'm very, very, excited. I'm pretty sure the ele sprite has a sythe. I believe a saw a shot of him in another thing and he was labeled Holy Henchmen, so I doubt that it's Orion :/

[EDIT] Yeah I see them... I don't like that effect at all. I hope it's just a beta thing

It was mentioned in that wolfpack(sp?) link as well. He didn't like it either.

Hopefully, Anet will tone it down a bit...

no the gameplay's not sped up at all, thats what it looks like with a good gpu.

I guess my grandma will be able to play this game with those numbers like that... can you imagine what your MMs dmg will look like if you got like 8 or more minions attacking a target? Will you even be able to SEE anything else?

I wish the camera had an onboard microphone... unless there is something wrong with the computer I am currently using (its not mine) i cant hear any sound.

This makes me happy all in all- it looks like the level-designers really spent some extra time to make the forest look very lush (unlike the maguuma jungle which is not very jungley at all)

Im also extremely pleased with the new character creation screen!!! Its about time they took us off our pedistals. And the water looks SOOO much more realistic this time (current login water looks like jello to me IMO)

Also, guys- if you read the comments you see that this guy writes it makes me unsure of whether he is an actual beta tester or not (im pretty sure producing this footage is a breach of beta-contract...)

anyways->

sry for delete the comment (i clicked on the wrong text )

the map is only a beta map
and i think the real map is larger
and the auction house was not on the GC Germany 2006

WilliamWingGW (3 hours ago)
Is it true you can customize your henchmen?

eagleeye2222 (1 hour ago)
i dont know, in this mission you only could coose normal henchmen, but i think it's ture
I dont think the guy actually got to do any more than what the [WOLF] guy got to do...
Notice the henchies are all old henchies... that cant be right.

It looks like some dude's computer room, but it could just as easily be a workstation at the GWC06...

I'm pretty sure this is just video shot at the Germany games festival by a fan.

If you search utube, you'll find lots of amateur videos like this for Lord of the Rings, Warhammer Online, etc.

And then you'll realize the quality if this one is actually good in comparison!

damn, the graphics looks so much better.....but if thats really just a game beta booth, im sure its equip with the highest card available...

still wonder how it will look on my screen...but it does look nice, especially the land layout

hmmm, and it would be sweet if there were PvP missions....like large arenas that have side goals to them, and you gotta beat the crap outa the other teams, maybe 2 or 3 others, well.....sort of like Forst Aspenwood. Its a PvP concept with pve goals.

That would be nice. Like an all-out 4v4v4v4 arena

I noticed that when I watched the video, and I guessed that it was probably because it was only a preview. I mean, they wouldn't make you go through a mission without weapons. So i guess they just put in the preview PvP weapons from the PvP preview event.

That's all I can think of.

It is probably just some fake HDR because otherwise video card requirements would raise to the heavens. Real HDR can be done with GF6800 or above and Radeon X18xx/X19xx or above. The drawback is that Anti-Aliasing doesn't work well with real HDR. At least not with GF6800 or above.

I liked the video, makes me wish ANet would release more screenshots. The graphics do look better, ebgames says the system requirements are higher in Nightfall than the previous GW games, but the new gamespot article that covered Leipzig says the system requirements will be the same. I hope gamespot is right.

EDIT: Aha, ebgames lies! The ANet/NCSoft staff were telling people at Leipzig that while there are improved water and lighting effects, the hardware requirements won't change.
See here http://gw.gamona.de/artikel/artikel.php?id=152 - important quote translated as "Also the water and light effects were improved, which will not have effects however on the hardware requirements according to Martin." (Martin = Martin Kerstein of NCSoft Europe)
NICE!!! Thank you ANet for pitying those of us with crappy hardware

Oh, and the thing with the new damage number displays, I don't mind because that's how I'm used to seeing it from all the console RPGs I have. I do agree it would probably be a problem if you are an MM since you can have 11 physical attacks happening simultaneously. Maybe the font for the numbers will be smaller when it shows minion damage?

Oh, hi eagle eye!

Yeah, I watched that film of the log-in, too. Impressive.

Thanks for sharing your vids! Did Anet have a problem with you taping it?
